123 Reg Reviews
This 123 Reg Review will touch on 123 Reg’s Domain Pricing, Features, Support and Ease of use.
123 Reg claims that it is the largest ICANN accredited domain registrar in the UK which hosts more than a million domain names.
Pricing
As part of their promotion, registering a .com domain name for the first year only costs £2.99. This is a great price if you only need the domain for 1 year.
However, the renewal cost of it is more than double the price of other domain registrars like Namesilo and Dynadot.
Renewing a .com domain through 123 Reg costs £15.99 which is expensive given that the privacy protection is not yet included with it.
Features
Features
I would say that 123 Reg’s Domain feature is a bit dry.
It has Email forwarding and DNS management which are very important, but every domain registrar has those features as well so I can’t see anything especial here.
Free email forwarding
Create unlimited free email forwarding with 123 Reg. All mail to [email protected] can be sent to any other email address, so it can look professional without needing another email service.
Heads up. Email forwarding doesn’t have capability to send out emails, it will only receive emails and forward those to your preferred recipient email address.
Complete DNS management
You can use DNS and web forwarding to point your domain name at any website or even your Facebook page.
Update your CNAME or A record and use MX records to control your email.
Get a free website (30-day trial)
Get your business on Google with a 1-page website that’s free for the first 30 days, then just £1 per month.
Choose from hundreds of professionally designed templates with drag-and-drop tools. Hosting included, no technical skills needed!
Intuitive control panel
Run your domains and the rest of your products through 123 Reg’s all-in-one control panel.
It’s the quick and easy way to manage everything you need to keep your business online: keep your registrant details up-to-date, search your invoice history and manage your payments to ensure your website is always online.
Support
I believe this aspect is where 123 Reg redeems itself.
There are few complaints against them just like every domain registrar, but there are tons of positive reviews about their customer service and many confirms it.
I just want to reiterate that I’m referring to 123 Reg Domain hosting service and this has nothing to do with their web hosting.
You can also check other user reviews through this Trust Pilot to learn more about their customer service.
Ease of Use
It’s not difficult to navigate through 123 Reg’s dashboard so I would say that it’s more user-friendly compared to other domain registrars like 1and1.
However, it’s not intuitive and the website design looks outdated as well so I cannot give it a high score. But overall, it’s not bad.
My 123-Reg Review
Quick Reminder: I put these user reviews together for everyone to have a better purchasing decision when it comes to domain name. Domain registration may not be refundable so make sure you know the product well before purchasing. 123 Reg 7 / 10 Author {{ reviewsOverall }} / 10 Users (0 votes) Pros Cons Summary 123 Reg is good option for those who wants to test registering a domain name for 1 year. Their introductory price is so affordable you can buy your first domain without spending much. However, I cannot really recommend 123 Reg if you’re planning to register multiple domain names for several years because their renewal price is so expensive and they don’t offer free domain privacy protection.
